Thirty-one billion dollars are spent on gift cards during the holiday season. Yep, you read that right. $31 billion! If you received a gift card or two that you haven’t spent yet, here are some of our favorite Atlanta stores and shopping centers where you can use those valuable pieces of plastic.

1. Buckhead Atlanta
Opening early this year at Buckhead Atlanta are New York-based contemporary clothing company Alice + Olivia, luxury women’s fashion boutique INTERMIX, and Italian shoe and leather goods designer Tod's. Men will love the shopping experience at Bonobos, where a store rep will get you fitted during your personalized Bonobos experience. You can see and try on the clothing in-person before placing an order on the popular retail website.
Fun Fact: They will serve you Sweetwater Beer so you can unwind on their comfy sofas between trying on clothes.

2. North Georgia Premium Outlets
Whether you are looking for a sporty pair of polarized Maui Jim sunglasses from Sunglass Warehouse or a cozy pair of boots from UGG Australia, this outlet mall has everything you need from head to toe. Stock up on adorable organic PJs from Hanna Andersson for members of the entire family and check out the newest stores, Haggar Clothing Co. and Quiksilver.
Savings tip: Join the VIP Shopper Club for perks like exclusive online coupons, a voucher for a free VIP coupon book and insider info from your favorite brands. If you are at least 50 years old, save an extra 10 percent on Tuesdays at more than 50 participating stores.

3. Atlantic Station
Create an expression that is uniquely you by selecting charms to wear on a sterling silver, 14k gold, leather or textile bracelet at PANDORA and try on trendy accessories at Festivity, two new stores at Atlantic Station.
Savings tip: Through Feb. 15, lace up and enjoy an open-air ice-skating rink before enjoying some special deals just for you “cheapskates.” Simply show your skating wristband to participating retailers like Fab’rik, H&M, and Bath & Body Works and you can save up to 20 percent. Another way to save is by visiting the outdoor shopping center on a rainy day. Pick up a “Rainy Day A-Card” from concierge and receive special savings at participating restaurants and retailers.

2. Sugarboo & Co. in Town Brookhaven is a fun and whimsical store offering jewelry, artwork, home décor and accessories. Shopping for a child? Consider a 36” by 36” mink and sherpa blend Heirloom Baby Blanket for $48. Choose from four different sayings, including You Are My Sunshine, Lord Look Down, Within Your Heart and The Velveteen Rabbit.

3. Mama Bath + Body at Krog Street Market is an Atlanta-based line of handmade, natural body products made with blends of pure essential oils. For $9, choose from more than a dozen customized, 5-ounce bars of soap named after your favorite in-town neighborhood.

If you would rather not hang on to any remaining funds (not like that would happen), consider purchasing an annual membership to an Atlanta attraction and treat yourself to a gift that will keep on giving all year. If you don’t live locally, but are looking for a great deal, save close to half off admission to five of Atlanta's must-see attractions with a CityPASS booklet, which can be used for nine consecutive days beginning the day of first use.
